As you approach the beautiful refurbished georgian building, you can appreciate a sample of our three acres of mature gardens with secluded seating areas for you to relax and unwind. On walking through the doors and sitting down for a complimentary coffee in the lounge, all the stress is guaranteed to just disappear.

The Lodge Restaurant
For exquisite food, beautiful relaxing surroundings and that extra special personal service there is no place better than The Lodge Restaurant. The ever-evolving menu is designed by the renowned head chef James Goodall and features an eclectic mix of French, Australian and English dishes with something to tempt every food lover.

For a great traditional Sunday roast there is no place better than The Lodge Restaurant and Tweedies Bar. For only £9.95 you can have your choice of Medium rare roast beef, and either lamb, pork or chicken all served with fresh seasonal vegetables, crispy roast potatoes and homemade Yorkshire puddings and gravy. For a lighter option we also offer a full lunch menu including a range of sandwiches all served on freshly homemade ciabatta, focaccia or baguettes. All our breads, pastries and pasta are handmade on the premises by our chefs.

With a range of regular guest beers, Tweedies Bar has featured over 202 different varieties of beer from 69 Breweries countrywide. From the local Timothy Taylor to the seasonal Santas Sledgehammer. Visitor Directions ;

Take the A591 towards Grasmere. Follow signs for Ambleside (if travelling from the south, you pass through Ambleside). After passing the 30 mph speed limit sign follow sign for Grasmere. Follow the road for 400 yards until it bends sharply to the left and the sharply to the right. The entrance to the Dale Lodge Hotel is immediately on your right.
