Where to Eat - Low Sizergh Barn

« Go Back

The day starts early on the farm, but the kitchen is busy too, baking all the cakes, scones, quiches and pies that appear on the menu. The dishes of the day make good use of the products on the shelves of the farm shop, so you can be sure the sausage is good Cumberland sausage, the lamb from the farm down the road, and the soup made from scratch with vegetables that arrive daily.

The tea and coffee are worth knowing about too – both from a Kendal merchant, the tea is blended to suit local water, and the filter coffee fairtrade.

Every afternoon the farm’s cows come in to be milked and the tea room’s large windows provide a bird’s eye view of the whole event.
