Brathay Lodge, Ambleside, is a traditional English Lake District B & B which was originally built as two semi detached properties around 1890 probably to satisfy the demand for guest, B&B, hotel and Pet Friendly accommodation by the Lake District tourist industry which was then in its infancy. The farmhouse dates from the 17th century.
