Being the largest and most southerly lake in the district, Windermere is easily accessible for those travelling on the M6 and is often the first port of call for new visitors. The Coach House - The Coach House is an unusually stylish and relaxed guest house in the heart of the English Lake District. This house has a ‘4 star’ rating from the AA and is a non-smoking establishment.

Ravenscroft - Set just off the road leading to the lake, Ravenscroft provides a quiet yet central place to stay whilst visiting the beautiful English Lake District. The pretty village of Windermere is just a five-minute walk away and the busier village of Bowness is a ten-minute walk where you will find a vast assortment of cafés, restaurants and bars. The guest house has been lovingly refurbished by Jackie and Steve with a great deal of thought given to the small personal touches.

Crompton House - An attractive Victorian residence, Crompton House Bed and Breakfast Guest House offers comfortable, relaxing accommodation with an excellent English breakfast to set you up for the day in the Lake District. Also included are free leisure facilities at a nearby Country Club in Bowness, to complete your perfect short break. Windermere Manor - Windermere Manor is set within 3 acres of Lakeland garden and woodland, in the heart of the Lake District. A full range of summer hotel excursions are provided on a daily basis including; boat trips, Lakeland walks and visits to famous historical landmarks. Our Active Option programme will have you tandemming, walking, skiing and canoeing.

1 Park Road - A beautiful, recently refurbished Victorian residence that has been providing first class accommodation for over 100 years. The guest house is perfectly situated in the centre of Windermere village, a mere 5 minute walk to the numerous pubs, restaurants, train station and shops, and a fifteen minute stroll to the lake itself.

Invergarry - A traditional Lakeland Guest House providing quality, value for money bed and breakfast. 10 minutes walk to the villages of Windermere and Bowness on Windermere. We have 4 en-suite bedrooms in the main house and a chalet in the courtyard garden which can be booked as either a twin or kingsize. The rooms are spacious and provide all the comforts of home from home. We have private parking to the side of the guest house and unlimited on road parking to the front. There is a good choice of breakfast which is cooked to order using local produce. We are totally non-smoking.

Heatherbank is a quiet, comfortable, non-smoking guest house situated in the centre of Windermere village. It is within 5 minutes walk of the station and coach park, and is ideally suited as a base for walkers or motorists alike, with some private car parking facilities.

Since time has begun the Lake District has been known as an area of great natural beauty, you may enjoy all watersports, fishing, climbing or leisurely walking. All rooms have en-suite facilities with shower or bath and shower, TV and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. A public telephone is available. Heatherbank is noted for its freshly prepared English breakfasts. Special diets and vegetarians catered for on request.

The Coppice - Your Hosts Chris and Barbara, welcome you to The Coppice guest house with its friendly relaxing atmosphere making you feel immediately ‘at home’. Dinner orders are taken in the lounge, between 7pm and 8-15pm from our 3 course. Choice menu. Enjoy an aperitif by the coal fire whilst your meal is freshly cooked. We have an excellent local reputation for our food and only use locally grown ‘Fellbred’ Beef, Pork, Lamb or poultry, supporting our farming community, with fresh fish from Fleetwood.

Breakfast is served between 8-30am & 9-15am and is of excellent size and quality, if you go away hungry you only have yourself to blame.

There is always a vegetarian choice available and other dietary requirements can be catered for, Glutton free, fat free or sugar free, with prior notice.

We are only minutes from the bus and train stations and given notice we will collect you.
