The Lakes Hospitality Association is a powerful marketing and political arm for the tourism industry in the Lake District. The greater our numbers, the more we can do. The more we can do, the more it benefits you.

It is our aim to represent all those in the hospitality business in the Lakes. Building on our rich foundation representing hotels and guest house owners, we also welcome attractions, restaurants, self-catering accommodation and all involved in the holiday trade in the Lake District.

The strength of the LHA in the past has been an active social programme, the annual trade exhibition and our role as a networking and campaigning body. For the future we plan to offer the following additional benefits to members:

1. A further annual exhibition, focussing on interior design, the second of which will be held in October 2008. These exhibitions are important as they are revenue earners that fund the associations activities for our members.
2. An on-line booking system incorporated into this very website. The system will be much more user-friendly and fairer than DMS and, most importantly, will be free to members, apart from a nominal fee for each booking made.
3. This new web-site where the emphasis will be on getting high rankings for the smaller operator.
4. A “What To Do, Where To Go” magazine for our member’s guests.
5. Lobbying and networking. The office send out E-Mails every week to members on any topic which is of interest.
